2007 Vic Teams


 ARRANGEMENTS FOR FINALS
19.07.07 Due to the less than hoped for participating teams in the various grade and Western zone. I have decided on the following arrangement 
G Hartland CV president

A grade Duplication of the round robin format with colours reversed and all points counting

B Grade A playoff between first and second with the highest placed winner getting the odds of the draw

C grade A playoff between first and second highest placed C grade teams with the highest placed winner getting the odds of the draw.

D Grade A playoff between first and second highest placed D grade teams with the highest placed winner getting the odds of the draw.

2007 CHESS VICTORIA INTERCLUB COMPETITIONS

An invitation is extended to all CV affiliated clubs to participate in the 2007 CV winter interclub competition. There will be 2 zones:

Eastern Zone: on 5 Fridays:          June 29,       July 13,

                                                                July 27,          August 10

                                                                August 24.

A 6 team competition:  
A grade, B Grade, C grade, and D grade

 Western Zone: on 5 Tuesdays:   June 26,        July 10,

                                                                July 24,          August 7

                                                                August 21.

A 6 team competition:  A grade, B Grade,

Finals between East and West September 7

There will be one additional rule which will apply to both competitions

Participating clubs will be allowed one team in each grade in each competition with second teams allowed only if there are vacancies at the close of entries.

Closing of entries:

Western zone June 25, 7.00 PM

Eastern Zone June 28, 7.00 PM.

Entry fees: $50 per team.

Venues:

Eastern Zone: Box Hill Chess Club 3 Rochester Road Canterbury.

Western Zone: Hobson Bay Chess Club.

Starting times:  7.45 at all venues.

Rate of play: 75 minutes + 30 seconds from move one.  

Rating limits: A grade unlimited

                         B grade Maximum rating 1850

                         C grade maximum rating 1550

                         D grade maximum rating 1250
